BROTHERHOOD

During the spring semester Delta Sigma Pi puts on our Rose Dance, as the rose is the flower of our fraternity. Throughout the rose dance brothers are able to come together, eat a dinner, receive awards for achievements throughout the semester and hear a roast from two of our own brothers. This is planned by our VP of Fraternal Affairs and the VP of Scholarship and Awards.

Each fall semester brothers gather together for our annual “DSPies” event. A play on the “Dundies” from the hit TV show The Office, brothers come together at a “black tie optional” event to award each other for their accomplishments throughout the year. Awards are given out based on our pillars, along with fun awards such as “best hair” or “most likely to work for DSP nationals in the future.” This is planned by our VP of Fraternal Affairs and the VP of Scholarship and Awards.

Each fall semester, our VP of Alumni Relations organizes a fun and inviting event known as the Alumni Tailgate. This wonderful gathering serves as a heartfelt invitation to our cherished past brothers, inviting them to return to our chapter and share the joy of reconnecting. During the tailgate, there are various conversations ranging from old shared memories to open discussions about impressive professional achievements. We grill out food, play yard games, and enjoy the moments leading up to the big football game. We appreciate all alumni who travel to reconnect with our dynamic chapter.

Alumni Tailgate

DSP plays in a plethora of IM sports, such as indoor and outdoor volleyball, softball, basketball, and ultimate frisbee. Engaging in these various intramural sports is a core part of our fraternity's identity, as it fosters teamwork, friendly competition, and shared achievements. These events offer us a great way to bond over the thrill of the game, and they emphasize our commitment to supporting each other on and off the field. Intramural sports embody our fraternity's strong sense of camaraderie and shared passion for athletics.

Bowling nights have become a cherished tradition for our fraternity, as they offer the perfect blend of friendly competition and brotherly bonding. Everyone always has a great time bowling, sharing laughs, and creating lasting memories…even if we aren’t rolling strikes.

Brothers Across Chapters

Brotherhood expands past our Kappa Omega chapter. We love to host events where we are able to meet and hang out with brothers from other chapters. This fall our VP of Scholarships and Awards Brett Tobler hosted a new event where local chapters got to meet up and spend a day together at the Indy zoo!

Brothers Around the World

No matter where in the world our brothers are, we always find a way to find each other. Multiple brothers study abroad in countries around the world like England, Italy, Spain, France, and many more. Even if a brother is not in your study abroad program there is always the possibility to take a weekend trip to Paris together :)

Alumni Brothers

Brotherhood does not end when you graduate! When you become an alumni you still have a vast network of brothers at Purdue and across the country. The connections you make here at DSP will be there for you throughout your entire professional journey!

…and much more!
